Recommended Technology Platform

In order for equipment to be eligible for managed services, it must meet minimum standards. The criteria used to establish minimum standards is subject to change. We will provide updates to all clients when that happens.

  • Microsoft Windows Workstation (Desktop, Laptop, or Tablet): Microsoft Windows 11 Pro or better (Home editions not supported), 16GB system memory (RAM), Solid State Storage Drive, Intel Core i5 8th Generation or better processor, major vendor only (Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc.). Network connected through a minimum 100Mbps ethernet connection, or 802.11n or better wireless connection.
  • Apple Workstation (Desktop or Laptop): Official Apple hardware supporting macOS Ventura (13.7.6) or higher. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/102861 for a list of specifc models. Network connected through a minimum 100Mbps ethernet connection, or 802.11n or better wireless connection.
  • Servers: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 R2 or higher (all editions); Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian, or other Linux-based variants; or FreeBSD, FreeNAS, or other BSD Unix variants. Must meet minimum hardware requirements as listed by the operating system vendor. Network connected through a minimum 100Mbps ethernet connection. Wireless connections are not supported.
  • Network Switches: “Smart” or managed network switches supporting gigabit or higher data rates, still under manufacturer support. Unmanaged switches are not supported. SNMP capability required.
  • Wireless Access Points: Managed wireless access points such as Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and similar brands supporting 802.11g/n/ac/ax or higher, still under manufacturer support. SNMP capability required.
  • Firewalls/Routers/Gateways: Managed solutions such as Cisco, pfSense, OPNsense, Dell SonicWALL, or others, where administrative access is provided to All Digital Consulting, still under manufacturer support. SNMP capability required.

For computer devices such as servers and workstations, special remote access software and antivirus/security software will be installed. This will allow us to remotely clean, update, and monitor the computers.

In some cases, All Digital Consulting might recommend replacement of the hardware so we can properly support it.
